Hole 1 - Par 4: Our starting hole is a beauty – slightly uphill with trees lining both sides. By hitting your tee shot up the left side of the fairway, you’ll have a clear look at the 1st green. This green can be a breaker of spirits and a dasher of dreams despite its small size. Leaving this hole with a par will feel like a birdie.

Hole 2 – Par 5: When approaching this hole one can’t help but think that there is an awful lot of water. Realize, though, that it’s only on your right, so pay no mind. The safe play is to aim it up the middle of the fairway to reach the corner of the dog leg. Your second shot, if you chose to lay-up, should stay left of the towering oak at the edge of the pond. The green runs back to front so make sure you leave the ball below the hole.

Hole 3 – Par 3: Hole 3 may look short, but don’t let that fool you. Be sure to aim your tee shot at the middle of the green or you could find yourself in one of the three bunkers protecting it. The water behind the green should not come in to play!

Hole 4 – Par 4: This hole is a fully-flexed, sharp dog-leg right with a green protected by both water and a large bunker. Your tee shot should be aimed at the middle bunker, leaving between 140-100 yards to the green. A tip: there is a lot of grass over the back of the green so don’t be shy. Take one club length longer and make sure you clear the water.

Hole 5 – Par 3: If you can avoid the 3 bunkers hugging both sides of the green you will be in great shape. Be sure to fly the green to avoid the front slope – it will stop your ball where it lands.

Hole 6 – Par 5: A particularly beautiful hole. The towering oaks protect both sides of the fairway and a slight dog-leg left requires a tee shot up the right side. Your view of your second shot is one of beauty, with mounds, moguls and bunkers protecting the elevated and sloped green. Laying up is a breeze on this hole, just pick a spot on the closely mowed area and you will be good to go.

Hole 7 – Par 4: Rated the hardest hole on the golf course, and rightly so, but don’t let it bully you. It’s all about your tee shot on this hole – aim to avoid the right side, particularly the waste bunker. Rather, aim straight toward the oaks on the left. Your second shot is also tricky, with a false carry over water and a steeply sloped green. Be sure to leave your shot below the hole. If you are not feeling up to the challenge, don’t be shy to lay up just short of the water and rely, rather, on your short game.

Hole 8 – Par 4: After holding your breath through holes 6 and 7, you can now relax. Though there are waste bunkers on the right and at the end of the fairway, pay them no mind. Aim your shot to the right of the woodpecker tree on the left, and you will have a clear look at the green. Be cautious with your second shot – trust your yardage, as it always plays longer than it looks.

Hole 9 – Par 4: What a great way to finish the front nine! Take aim at the last bunker on the right side of the fairway and let it rip. Your second shot requires a mandatory carry over a pond, so it is always better to be slightly long on this hole.

Hole 10 – Par 4: At 265+ yards, our shortest par 4 still requires some serious thought. There is a cleverly placed bunker in the middle of the fairway at about 220 yards, which leaves you two options. You can either lay up short of the bunker or go right for the green. Should you choose the latter, use the left side of the green as your bail-out area.

Hole 11 – Par 4: This beauty of a hole is a severe dog-leg right with out-of-bounds along the right side. That said, you should obviously stay left on this one. Your second shot to the green plays longer than it looks, as it did on hole 8. This green has some undulations, and will require some skillful putting.

Hole 12 – Par 3: If ever a par 3 can be fun, this is it. The green is elevated from back to front with a bunker guarding the front left portion. The wind always blows across the green, from the left in summer and from the right in winter – be sure to check the flag direction, as you won’t feel the breeze from the sheltered tee.

Hole 13 – Par 4: A dog-leg right, bunkers on the left, water on the right, fairway in the middle and tripod the alligator sunning herself on the bank of the pond. Aim your drive right toward the last bunker, leaving about 160 yards to the pin. You’ll then be faced with a two-tiered green running towards you from the middle and slightly away from you at the back. If the pin is in the back, play for the middle of the green and you can’t go wrong.

Hole 14 – Par 5: This is one of the longer par 5’s on the course, and despite the strategically placed bunkers, it is one on which you can succeed. After a routine tee shot down the middle of the fairway, aim for the middle of the aforementioned bunkers for your lay up. It’s easy sailing through to the end, with a good swing and a few putts for par.

Hole 15 – Par 4: Water, water, everywhere. Thankfully, most of us tend to hit right, so it ought not to come into play. Aim right toward the last bunker and all will be well. Your second shot is onto an elevated green, so remember to take an extra club length to account for said elevation.

Hole 16 – Par 3: Take a moment to enjoy the scenery on our signature hole. Ignore the water, and play it long if you prefer… You won’t have much of a chance if you land short.

Hole 17 – Par 4: There is water and there are bunkers, but not to fret. Aim your tee shot toward the three bunkers in the middle of the fairway. Your second shot is onto a saddle green – an approach shot to the wrong level can lead to a 3-putt, so be sure of your yardages.

Hole 18 – Par 5: Don’t mind the trees lining the right side, as they actually will help. Keep your tee shot left of them for a clear view of the green. You will notice the beautiful Georgian clubhouse beyond, with surrounding towering oaks and some well-placed bunkers. Lay up just short of the bunkers hugging the fairway to leave a clear 100-80 yard shot to the green.
